If you are travel person, there’s just so much that you can see in the world that only accessible by foot over the mountain, through canyons and gorges. Yes, Of course, I had not been in all place, but I did huge research and talked to some experienced for reviewing these places.

It is not really easy to find the best hiking destination in the world. all of the places has its own identity, difficulty, and adventure which will blow your mind. There are so many places in this world that you can not cover by writing in a certain blog. In this Article, I tried to bring some hiking destinations that I like personally and some of my friends already had been there and shared their experience with me.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing, New Zealand

The Tongariro National Park is New Zealand’s oldest national park which has been listed as a World Heritage Site. It is no preferred! But remember, it’s amazing. It is located on the North Island of New Zealand where you will find lush and green scenery that is widespread in this country. All three volcanoes exploded in recent times. If you want to complete the 19.4 Km hiking journey, you have to keep in mind that climbs can be steep and the weather is unpredictable. Therefore, prepare all the essentials before starting.

Puez-Odle Natural Park, Italy

The Puez-Odle Natural Park is a part of Dolomite’s world Heritage which spreads across the municipalities on Corvara and Badia. From the geographical perspective, Puez-Odle Natural Park is exciting as all the rock strata typical for the Dolomites can be found here. There is no specific source to tell about the distance, but some sources say it’s 14KM, and some say 22 Km.  Those go here, forget to track the distance by enjoying the beauty. But, you can feel it closer to 20 than to 14.

Hiking in the Puez-Odle will be the best experience for you as it’s long and involves a lot of climbing but remember, it is worth of effort as well. You can have a bird’s eye view from the mountains of the Dolomites.

Trek to Petra, Jordan

Petra requires no introduction. This legendary city was one time capital of the Nabataean empire where you should visit. Long last of local Bedouin people is an archaeological destination that tracks the curious around the world. Most people take bus ticket there, but hiking towards the ancient city is a more memorable approach. Hiking over Dana to Petra can take 5 to 6 days depending on your fitness level and guide. The temperature is more than 30 degree Celsius. So, fill your bag with water, some food, and sunscreen cream. In winter there will be cold under the shade and chilly under the sun. (Remember, the sun is sun, and it will burn you)

Dana to Petra follows an old Caravan route and entrance in the city of Petra.  Along the way, you will see the gorgeous marvel in the history of the world. Every day you will see the evidence of civilizations past. A Christian monastery crumbling into the rock it was built from 2000 years ago, green-lipped caves where Romans mined copper about 350BC, an Islamic military lookout (Islam came to Jordan in 636AD) – pieces of a historical jigsaw.

Cerro Tronador, Argentina

Carro Tronador is an exciting place for hiking experience which is located along the border between Argentina and Chile. It is near the Argentine city of Bariloche. The easiest way to enter in Carro Tronador is by using the Argentine border. Chilean is pretty hard to access due to the glaciers condition. The ideal time to climb here is from September to December/January with skis, perfect by foot through March. In summer it is challenging to hike because of little ice (slippery) and lots of rock fall.

You should keep two days in your hand to complete this hike and the night experience is incredible. If you want to conquer whole Cerro Tronador (I don’t know if it is possible), you have to hike for 32 Km.  You can camp at the top at night, and I am pretty much sure, you will enjoy the scenery.

Kungsleden Gällivare, Sweden

Kungsleden is Sweden’s most popular hiking route. There are some dramatic changes along the way between alpine terrain and low-lying mountain birch forest.  kungsleden passes through four national parks: Abisko, Stora Sjofallet, Sarek and Pieljekaise. The most common locations to start or end a hike along Kungsleden are Abisko, Vakkotavare, Saltoluokta, Kvikkjokk, Ammarnäs, and Hemavan.

The place between Ammarnas and Nikkaluokta is less crowded. But between Jackvick and Kvikkjokk you won’t find any cabins to take rest and therefore, you must carry a tent. If you want to hike in the Swedish Lapland, you should go at the end of June to mid-July. During this period of summer, the last snow patches on the highest mountain passes are still melting. The sun doesn’t set during this part of summer so hiking addicts can push on through the night and have the trail lit by the midnight sun.

Torres Del Paine W Circuit is situated in Patagonia, Chile. Quarter millions of visitors visit Torres Del Paine every year. Though there are day hike is available for casual tourists, five to seven days of W route is most popular without any doubt. It is easy to understand why!

The track which frequently appears on the bucket list of hikers the world overtakes you past lakes, glaciers mountains, and rivers. As well as a stunning picture of Flora and Fauna, It’s roughly 15 miles of hiking a day. Therefore, it is not for the inexperienced but it’s certainly a trip for training.

Tour Du Mont Blanc, France and Switzerland

Mont Blanc is one of the best-hiking destinations that you should ever try before you die. It is one of the most popular long distance in Europe which passes through parts of Italy, France, and Switzerland. The hike begins and ends in Chamonix which is the most popular ski resort in France.  It takes almost 11 to 14 days to complete the 177 Km of distance. The cumulative ascent and descent of Mount Blanc are close to 9000m which is equivalent to climb Mount Everest.  From any point of the trail, you will see the million-dollar worth of natural beauty, (you might finish the charge of your camera).

The best time to hike on Mont Blanc is from Mid-June until Mid-September though the weather is unpredictable on Mont Blanc. Anyone want to hike on Mont Blanc must need to have learned about high skills as climbing is not comfortable there.

Trolltunga, Norway

Trolltunga is one of the most spectacular rock formations in Norway. Its located 1.100 meters above sea level and about 700 meters above Lake Ringedalsvatnet. This hike is rapidly growing in popularity. This place is not known as other geological wonders but it is really beautiful. You should be careful and keep an eye on your feet as there is no safety rail here

Yosemite Grand Travers, United States

Yosemite Grand Travers is known for some of the best hiking places in the world. This is situated in California, the United States and the distance is around 96 Km. Yosemite National Park is famous for its natural glamour and huge sequoia trees. You will really like the waterfalls, green mountaintops, and meadows on its surreal trail. The best time to hike in Yosemite Grand Traverse is from July to September and it requires at least 6-8 days.

This place is located in Bhutan known as one of the most difficult high altitude treks in the world which is 350 Km long and it takes almost 3-4 weeks to conquer the area. The best time to go there is October-November. It will definitely be an adventure to remember if you finish it. Head into one of the most remote valleys in Bhutan as you traverse nine passes higher than 4,500 meters. There are six mountains above 7,000 meters and the Paro Chhu river valley which is fabulous. During the trek, you’ll pass small villages and Buddhist monasteries, and you can even learn more about Buddhist traditions and the cultural heritage of Bhutan.

Everest is, without doubt, one of the most renowned hiking destinations in the world. This is the highest mountain in the world which lied on the border between Nepal and China. The difficulty of Everest trekking depends on the route that you have chosen with the main trekking trails. Gokyo Lake trek is one of the most popular treks in the Everest region which will take you to the Gokyo Valley and you can enjoy the panoramic views. If you want to follow the footsteps of legendary mountaineers, then you have to choose the route “ Everest Base Camp Classic Trek”. This trek begins from Salleri and starts following the place of Nunthala and Bupsa.
